Attention National ARBA Breed Clubs:
The West Coast Classic has gained a reputation in the ARBA for being an excellent host of national breed shows. Mini Rex, Holland Lop, Netherland Dwarf, Satin/Mini Satin, American Fuzzy Lop, Jersey Wooly, Havana, Mini Lop, Himalayan, and, French & English Lops, Lionhead, Champagne D’Argent, Beveren, Cinnamon, and Silver Fox are just some of the breeds that have joined WCC since 2009 with their breed national shows. It would be a pleasure to host your breed too at an upcoming West Coast Classic.
The 2020 to 2023 West Coast Classic shows are confirmed at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center in Reno, Nevada. If you attended the 2019 ARBA Convention in Reno, you are already familiar with the fantastic venue with high ceilings, excellent ventilation, superb lighting, and a plethora of space. By the way, the same team who put on the 2019 ARBA Convention in Reno are the same dedicated volunteers who annually organize the West Coast Classic. Your national breed and club are in great hands!
The Peppermill will serve as the host hotel and offers over an abundance of hotel rooms, banquet facilities, restaurants, a world-class nightlife atmosphere, access to downtown Reno, and endless entertainment for all ages. The hotel has secured a discounted rate for WCC exhibitors as well. Just a 3 mile drive from the Reno-Sparks Convention Center, the Peppermill is a very convenient and encompassing hotel for all WCC exhibitors. If there was ever a show that came close to capturing the “convention feel”, it’s certainly this one.
Upcoming West Coast Classic Dates:
April 10, 11, and 12, 2020
April 9, 10, and 11, 2021
April 8, 9, and 10, 2022

As the prospective coordinator of your breed’s national show, you will need to decide on one of the following options:
OPTION A: ALL INCLUSIVE: WCC hires, contracts, and pays all expenses for your choice of judge. The use of WCC showroom facility, use of WCC judging equipment, use of WCC caged cooping, set-up and tear-down labor of cooping, shavings, and use of WCC secretary services is also covered: $9 rabbit judged, $1 per rabbit fur/wool entry
OPTION B: WCC Judge and Judging Equipment: Use of a WCC judge (your choice from our list), use of WCC showroom facility, use of WCC judging equipment is covered: $2 per rabbit judged, $1 per rabbit fur/wool entry
OPTION C: WCC Judging Equipment: Use of WCC judging equipment, use of showroom facility is covered. You privately hire and pay your own judge (not a WCC judge): $1 per rabbit judged
If you decide either Option B or Option C, you have the opportunity to use our secretary services (Option A includes already includes our secretary services). Our secretary will complete all data processing, including receiving entries, printing comment and coop cards, processing show results, sending show reports, and completing ARBA and specialty club sanction reports. The cost is $0.50 per rabbit entered.
Please note that Option B and Option C do not cover cooping, cooping set-up and teardown labor, or shavings. Cooping can be rented from California Rabbit and Cavy Shows for $2 per coop. For Option B and Option C, one representative from the national breed committee for every 50 rabbits entered MUST be present by noon on Thursday (prior to the show) to assist in coop setup. As well, one representative from the national breed committee for every 50 rabbits entered MUST be present immediately after the conclusion of the “WCC Perpetual Cup Best of the Best In Show” ceremony on Sunday to assist in tearing down, cleaning and storage of cooping.
Whichever option you and your national breed club choose, the final agreement will be formalized with a written and signed contract between WCC and your club.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact one of us at any time. We look forward to having your breed and national club be a part of the West Coast Classic!
Best of luck in your bidding process!
